Duplicate objects

Hi all,

I'm trying to add a device, and I got side trakced with something. Upon revisiting I had to log in again and didn't see the object I was working with in the security and devices page. so, I created another object but I get a message telling me there is already an object with this name and IP in the data base. Only, I can not find it. I'm looking though the docs but haven't found anything yet.

Usually MARS is just giving a warning because that host was already added in MARS (not as a reporting device but as a host).

Go to Management >> IP Address Management >> Change 'View' to 'Host'

Then delete that device/IP if you wish.

Hi,

Actually what I was able to do was to add a service to an existing device. Then I was able to choose the duplicate object, change it's IP address and give it a phony service and save/active.

After this I was able to delete the object. Not the most intuitive ;-)
