Aironet Power Injector and Portable Appliance Testing
I have a customer using AIR-PWRINJ2's with his Aironet 1200 Access Points - they cannot use the network yet as all equipment needs to pass PAT testing - the reason why they fail is that the power supply has an earth pin on the plug top but this does not have continuity through to the outer of the D.C. out connecter normlly under 0.5 ohm, needed to PASS CLASS 1 Portable Appliance Test .The power supply does not have the CLASS 2 IDENTITY MARK which would eleminate the need for the earth test.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this could be resolved?!
Could a different power unit be used in place of the standard Cisco one without invalidating the warranty?!
