4-port GE WAN card in OSR

Hi,

it said that 4-port GE WAN card supports ethernet over MPLS using 802.1q VLAN. here i wonder if OSR here is a PE router only. in other word, there is no additional router ( CE) needed?

thanks

That's right - no additional CE router is required. You can transport end-station-attached servers/workstations/other-network-devices on L2 via an EoMPLS tunnel using this OSM card.

assuming MPLS VPN and using WAN connection, POS interfaces between OSR and GSR. Ps clarify:

1. there should be p2p connection type. in other word, one POS port on OSR only connects to a port on GSR.

2. if there are hundreds of edge area, the limitation should be the amounts of POS interfaces on GSR? assume the traffic volume is very low.

thanks
