Advertise labels for PE loopbacks for L3VPNs

Is it the case that for L3VPNs it is only necessary for LDP to advertise labels for the PE loopbacks, rather than for every prefix which may be in the global routing table?

Hi,

Yes, this is true. A label switched path is required for PE-to-PE traffic with a VPN label. This are all customer IP packets in a MPLS L3VPN network. So labels need to be allocated in the whole MPLS core for the BGP next hops.
