ATM Configuration

Hello Guys,

We are currently migrating our circuit from Frame-Relay to MPLS. Our corporate will be on a t3 connection acting as a hub to all the branch office. The PTE from at&T that I've worked with sent me the information below. I'm not quite sure how to go about configuring the ATM interface which will be connected to AT&T MPLS backbone. Currently the ATM interface is configured below.

interface ATM1/0

mtu 1500

bandwidth 9000

ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x

ip nbar protocol-discovery

ip hold-time eigrp 1616 60

ip authentication mode eigrp 1616 md5

ip authentication key-chain eigrp 1616 SBC_MPLS

atm framing cbitplcp

no atm ilmi-keepalive

pvc 15/34

protocol ip x.x.x.x broadcast

vbr-rt 9216 5000 144

oam-pvc manage

oam retry 3 3 10

encapsulation aal5snap

Information from AT&T for new MPLS.

Speed: T3

Line Coding / Framing: CBIT/B3Z3

Serial Encapsulation: PPP

Timing: Net/Line

Routing Protocol: BGPv4

DSU Bandwidth: 44210

AT&T AS#: 7018

Re: ATM Configuration

Hi,

are you sure it is ATM connecting you to AT&T? The info says PPP and I would assume they do not mean PPP over ATM but pure PPP as Layer2 protocol.

Can you check again, what the AT&T requirements are, as this could mean your ATM interface cannot be used anymore.

Regards, Martin
