Configuring LS1010

Hi All,

        May i ask anyone to please help with configuring an LS1010 switch with  some ATM cards?.

The switch has the following:

LS1010#sh hardware

LS1010 named LS1010, Date: 00:59:51 UTC Sun Oct 31 2010
Feature Card's FPGA Download Version: 10

Hence are connected to two 3640 routers:

Router-2(config)#do siib | in ATM                                          
ATM1/0                     unassigned      YES NVRAM  administratively down down

Will be grateful if could be led on how to make the two routers communicates via the switch?.

You have to configure IP over PVC in both routers

R1

interface ATM1/0.1 multipoint
description R1_2

ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252
pvc 1/66
  protocol ip 1.1.1.2
  encapsulation aal5snap
!

R2

interface ATM1/0.1 multipoint
description R2_1

ip address 1.1.1.2 255.255.255.252
pvc 1/66
  protocol ip 1.1.1.1
  encapsulation aal5snap
!

Now create a VC in the LS1010 for the ports where the routers are connected.

interface ATM1/1/0
no ip address
atm pvc 1 66  interface  ATM1/0/0 1 66
