Does Site of Origin work for RipV2

Folks,

I have building an MPLS network in my lab and running into a routing roop. I have 1 CE which is connected to 2 PE's for redundancy. I can only use Rip v2 because of CE limitations(non cisco device). can i use S00 concept to prevent routing loop, is soo supported with Ripv2 in a CE-PE link. Any other ideas would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Does Site of Origin work for RipV2

SoO is supported for RIP as well. It was implemented via CSCdr35534. For more information on which version is required to support it, please see the following URL:

Re: Does Site of Origin work for RipV2

Thanks for the quick response. I will surely rate this post. Just out of curiosity why does the Feature navigator on CCO only show SOO for EIGRP. Also, when i do i search i get no docs refferring to RIP , only eigrp?

Thanks

Navin,

Excellent point. I will bring it up with our documentation team for them to add something about SoO support for RIP.
