EoMPLS General Question

Hello,

I have read that with EoMPLS, the 4 byte control word is optional, but by default the PE router includes it during the LDP negotiation.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to explicitly disable the use of the control word in the Cisco IOS. I am using 12.2S on a 7304 router.

Hello Eddie,

I don't think that you can explicitly disable the control word used by LDP in PW negotiation.

What I have seen is this functionality is automated.

It is basically used to reach a common C-bit value between PEs.

I think I have not exactly answered your query...
