Re: ios version ?

Hi,

They all belong to the same Train 12.2S.

That is 12.2 Service Provider Train.

Now the subtle difference lie in the letters and numbers.

For example : 12.2(25)S9

a) is the 25th Release of 12.2S

b) and the S9 means the 9th Rebuild of 12.2(25)S.

So on and so forth. For sake of simplicity you can assume that they are version controls for software developers and also the different business units which work towards a specific industry vertical and product set.

May be you would like to have a look at this external link:

Re: ios version ?

Hi,friend

oh,no,I can't open this web:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cisco_ios.

Now,my firm want to desgn and operate L2VPN-Eompls over MAN,So IOS version is very important.Meanwhile,I select one version(12.2(27)sbc upload to 7304-NSE100,vc is up,but three days,7304's cpu is very high.

How can i do next step?

Can you tell me ?

Re: ios version ?

Hi,

You need to immediately open a TAC case with Cisco.

As it would not be right to recommend without knowing why this IOS was suggested, and what are the features which are operating etc.

SO please go ahead and open a TAC case, as high CPU utilization is a serious issue in a live environment.

HTH-Cheers,

Swaroop
