You cannot see LIB entries for MPLS prefixes as the labels are received over BGP sessions and not through LDP sessions. You can see MPLS bindings only if are using LDP in a carrier-supporting-carrier scenario.

thanks for reply.......

But i not clearly understand what u want to say ?

Can u pls clearify the same..

Need more information

1. Is this a P or PE router?, just had to ask since router prompt read as "P", or a CSC router

2. Is CEF enabled

3. Do you have line cards involved in the forwarding path?

4. What version

Regards

Sanjeewa

This is PE router

Is CEF enabled

No line cards involved in the forwarding path.

version is 12.3(17)

Sanjeewa

What i was trying to say was that label exchange for vpn prefixes doesnt use LDP and instead uses BGP so there will be no LIB for VPN prefixes. However if you do carrier-supporting-carrier on the last mile with a customer with LDP, then you can see LIB information for the customer in the LDP session.

I really hope sanjeewa can add some clarity on the line cards (not sure this will change with line cards).

Thanks........!
