MPLS Fast Reroute RFC says, during fast reroute is active, protected and backup LSP are distinguished by the sender IP address in sender template. Back up LSP will have the sender address as PLR IP address and protected LSP wil have sender IP address as headend IP address. This is before original LSP is torned down.
but I am running GNS3, and I see protected and backup both have same sender IP address as headend IP address in sender template. Can someone help me on this ? Or am I missing something
