mpls FRR

hi,

assume MPLS FRR has been implemented already. to avoid single-point failure, we suppose to use dual OSRs as PEs. ( HSRP )

1. is the primary OSR is down, FRR can still work on the secondary OSR?

2. i guess a dynamic backup path should be used in this case. a explicit path can work?

3. can realize the load sharing by using MHSRP in both OSRs?

thanks

Re: mpls FRR

As far as I can imagine, all this should be possible.

Re: mpls FRR

Hi Difei,

FRR protects a given Link. If the link fails, the traffic is going to tak ethe FRR backup tunnel. So, no matter the traffic is originated from PE1 or PE2, FRR is going to be used if the tunnels are configured for FRR.

2.The primary LSP can be dynamic or explicit. Bu t the backup shd be explicit (to expect quick fail over)

3.Yes.
