MPLS LDP loop Detection

Is LDP loop detection ddisabled by defualt and shoudl it br enabled or not

I am using OSPF az IGP

sh mpls ldp parameters

Protocol version: 1

Downstream label generic region: min label: 16; max label: 524286

Session hold time: 180 sec; keep alive interval: 60 sec

Discovery hello: holdtime: 15 sec; interval: 5 sec

Discovery targeted hello: holdtime: 90 sec; interval: 10 sec

Downstream on Demand max hop count: 255

LDP for targeted sessions

LDP initial/maximum backoff: 15/120 sec

LDP loop detection: off

Hi,

afaik, in frame mode MPLS loop detection is the task of the IGP. LDP loop detection is mainly for cell based MPLS, i.e. if you have ATM switches as LSRs. There LDP will setup the VC and loop detection is used.

So no worries, everything is just fine with your show output.
