MPLS LDP on Cisco2921

Hello. We have cisco 2921:

Cisco IOS Software, C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.0(1)M1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Technology Package License Information for Module:'c2900'

----------------------------------------------------------------

Technology    Technology-package          Technology-package

              Current       Type          Next reboot

-----------------------------------------------------------------

ipbase        ipbasek9      Permanent     ipbasek9

security      securityk9    Permanent     securityk9

uc            None          None          None

data          None          None          None

I need to test "Configuring MPLS LDP Autoconfiguration with OSPF Interfaces" like this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/mpls/configuration/guide/mp_ldp_autoconfig.html

but in the global configuration mode "mpls ip" is not active:

C2921(config)#mpl?

% Unrecognized command

In the documentation I find that C2921 support MPLS, what is the problem ?

Hi Alex,

As you can see from the output you have posted yourself, it does not:

----------------------------------------------------------------

Technology    Technology-package          Technology-package

              Current       Type          Next reboot

-----------------------------------------------------------------

ipbase        ipbasek9      Permanent     ipbasek9

security      securityk9    Permanent     securityk9

uc            None          None          None

data          None          None          None

This is also described in the following document:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10616/white_paper_c11_556985_ps10537_Products_White_Paper.html#wp9000809

You will need to obtain the DATA license in order to use the MPLS support.

Best regards,

Peter

Alex,

I suspect that the MPLS is supported in the DATA license. You will need to purchase the DATA license, or activate a temporary (evaluation) license if such is available.

Best regards,

Peter

our router have SEC/K9 license, this license not include Data feature ?
