We have a hub and spoke network connected to a service provider MPLS cloud.
Currently we have all the spoke sites on a single leg (CE-PE link)connected to the service provide PE router.
We are planning to have redundancy for the critical legs using VSAT as a backup media at few sites.
Need suggestion on the router configuration:-
1)What should be the routing protocol for the CE-PE link with ethernet handoff for both the primary last mile and VSAT backup. (As ethernet does not go down how the traffic will switchover to VSAT when primary last mile to provider MPLS PE fails...with static route configured on CE-PE link.
2)We are preferring Static routing on the CE-PE link how can we achieve the redundancy between two last miles (Terrestrial and VSAT) with ethernet handoff.
3)ALso in case we go for Dynamic routing protocol...which one should we enable BGP,OSPF,EIGRP or ? how can we achieve the redundancy between two last miles (Terrestrial and VSAT)with ethernet handoff.
