MPLS traceroute results in double first hop

Hi. We implemented a MPLS with MPLS/VPN network for a Service Provider.

We hide the inner MPLS network with the command " no mpls ip propagate-ttl "

When we do Trace route, THE FIRST HOP SHOWS DOUBLE HOPS ON THE FIRST PE.

Here's an example.

CBU-7600-PPE1#traceroute vrf VPN-SKYINET 66.94.230.49

Type escape sequence to abort. Tracing the route to 66.94.230.49 1

202.78.96.210 20 msec 16 msec 20 msec 2

202.78.96.210 16 msec 16 msec 20 msec 3

202.78.97.194 16 msec 20 msec 16 msec 4

.....

( i have removed the intermediate routes )

66.94.230.49 196 msec 184 msec 184 msec

There is no loop in the network since when we remove the command " no mpls ip propagate-ttl" , we get the correct trace route, showing the internal PE's however.

Can you help us remove the double hop? This gives an impression to the customer that there's a loop somewhere and/or the routing using MPLS is not eficient.

Thanks in advance.
