MPLS with one router

We are a ADSL service provider

In part of our network all DSLAMs are connected to a switch

DSLAMs are working in L2 mode

I want to seperate customers using VLAN

Each customer will have unique vlan and for evry vlan there will be a subinterface on router

Is it possible to have L3VPN MPLS on this singel router ?

Re: MPLS with one router

I think you are trying to isolate each customer routes from the other. This can be done.

You'd need to configure a VRF instance for each customer and map the subinterfaces to the appropriate VRF instance.

This can be done without configuring MPLS on the router. This is called VRF lite.

Click on the link below for additional information -

Hope this helps,

Re: MPLS with one router

Thank you for information

I read that documnet . is VRF lite feature only on 4500 series ?

I mean can i use it on 7204 router ?

Aslo i have some 3750 (notmetro) swithces

how can i use them

Re: MPLS with one router

I think for VRF-Lite you would need a dedicated interface for exit as well.

Private VLANs seems another option.

Re: MPLS with one router

What about some L2 MPLS services like LT2pV3 or Eompls

Re: MPLS with one router

VRF lite is available on all router platforms even with IP Base feature set.

The feature navigator tool doesn't reflect 3750 in the list of supported hardware.

Re: MPLS with one router

3750 hardware has support for VRF-Lite (Multi-VRF) from 12.2(25)SEC.

SO you can try upgrading the IOS to 12.2.(25)SEC and try the same.
