Redistribution between vrf

Hi,

I working up a config in the lab and need some help.

I've configured a router with two vrf instances. One for BGP and One for OSPF.

I am able to redistribute BGP routes into the OSPF instance, but cannot seem to redistribute the OSPF vrf into the BGP vrf.

Is this possible or even a good design?

Hi all,

I just learned about the ospf domain-id and domain-tag commands.

I added these configuration lines to the OSPF vrf instance and then the BGP vrf instance allowed me to redistribute the OSPF routes.

The thing I don't understand is that until I added these lines, the OSPF routes didn't show up in the BGP vrf table. I thought the route-target export and route-target import commands would have taken care of that.

I would appreciate any feedback on this configuration.

If you are redistributing route between the two vrf's, then why have them in separate vrf's?
