tag-swithing mtu 1600 results in giants

Hi, last friday we upgraded our first E3 mpls connection to 1Gigabit (Cat6513 IOS 12.2.18SXD4 with WS-X6516-GBIC and WS-G5487). The connection seems to work well but I see a lot of input errors (which are all giants) on the interface. I configured tag-swithing mtu 1600. Does anyone know if I should change the interface mtu size as well ?

You seeem to be running into CSCef94635, which is fixed in 12.2(18)SXE.

The workaround is to configure the "mtu" statement on the interface.

Try mtu 1524 for tag-switching instead of 1600.
