Targeted LDP session

I have created Following Topology...

R1-----R2-----R3----R4

I used OSPF in between all of them and created Targeted LDP session in between R1 and R4.There is no Mpls enabled on the interfaces.

I can see there is LDP neighbourship in between R1 and R4.

Is on this LDP session is R1 and R4 will exchange the Lable to the route present in the respective routing table?

If No then Why ?

Ganpat,

The labels should indeed be exchanged over the targeted LDP session. Can you please give us a bit more context on what you are trying to achieve.

Hritter,

I just wanted to is Lable will be exchanged on the targeted LDP session even if MPLS is not enabled on the middle interfaces....?

the targeted session always come up because this is point to point session and always treated as directly conneted. The session will be up but you won't find any type of labels. You can test it with the help of ping mpls pseudowire .
