Hi all!
I get the following loggings on a router, searched the net but didn't find anything! Does someone know what it mean?
- X received in update for prefix 65005:811:10.40.0.0/16 from 172.16.105.1
- *May 9 16:07:41: %BGP-3-INVALID_MP: Invalid MPLS label 3
Thanks for any help!

Hello,
How did you achieve this? I would be interested what you configured to end up in this situation!
Label 3 is the implicit-null label, otherwise also called "pop". This should not occur in a MP-BGP update, because the VPN label should identify the "customer context". Label 3 means: remove the top label! Thus in any case the packets following this LSP would end up - at best - in the global routing table of the PE. This is not where they usually should be ending up.
Thus the router is complaining about the - for a VPN route - invalid label.
Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.
Regards, Martin

Hi Martin!
Grüsse nach Deutschland (aus Österreich)! I get these messages on several other PE routers when a link to a special PE fails. How can this happen? Any idea??
Greets!
