How to configure a discontiguous NAT pool

Core Issue

The normal command to set up a Network Address Translation (NAT) pool allows you to configure a single contiguous block of addresses in the pool.

However, it may be necessary to set up multiple non-contiguous blocks of addresses in the NAT pool.

Resolution

To configure a NAT pool with non-contiguous blocks of addresses, issue the ip nat pool command, as shown in this example:

Router(config)#ip nat pool NAT prefix-length 24
Router(config-ipnat-pool)#address 1.1.1.3 1.1.1.9
Router(config-ipnat-pool)#address 1.1.1.11 1.1.1.254
