DFM monitors per default only IP interfaces and trunk ports. However, in some situations it would be desirable to monitor specific access ports, for example, those connected to critical end systems like mainframes, or those connected to network devices like routers, firewalls or load balancers. For that purpose, customizable groups can be configured that include the access groups to be monitored.
