The Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series switches support these Cisco Small Form-factor Pluggables (SFPs):
Note: The Cisco Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (CWDM) and Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) SFPs are not supported.
Refer to Cisco 100BASE-X SFP For Fast Ethernet SFP Ports and Cisco SFP Optics For Gigabit Ethernet Applications for more information on SFPs.
Refer to Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series Switches for more information.
Refer to Getting Started Guide for the Catalyst Express 500 Switches, 12.2(25)FY for more information on how to install and configure the Cisco Catalyst Express Switch.
This seems to contradict the Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series Switches documentation, which states that the 500 series support the following SFPs:-
MFEBX1 (100base-BX U)
MGBBX1 (1000base-BX U)
SFP-H10GB-CU1M (Direct Attach 1m)
SFP-H10GB-CU3M (Direct Attach 3m)
SFP-H10GB-CU5M (Direct Attach 5m)
No mention of any BX-D support, for example (which would be a GLC-BX-D).
