SNMP, OID's and Bandwidth

Hi folks,

I'm looking to setup an application that uses SNMP v3 to pull information from my network devices...I want to limit this application to pulling only information for bandwidth utilization..

I have a couple of questions.

1.  can this even be done...I have a large environment, 3 tier (aggregation -  core  - wan) .

2.  is there a specific OID for bandwidth utilization

1. yes the actual limit you only have is the monitoring tool you use (performance wise) and your hardware resources ofcourse

2. yes there is. usually found through the ifIndex. you might find the below links from cisco useful
