Unable to allocate OSPF router ID

Core Issue

For an Open Shortest Path First Protocol (OSPF) process to begin, the router must have an interface with a valid IP address in the state of up, line protocol up.

Resolution

Verify that you have an interface with a valid IP address in the state of up, line protocol up. This can be see in the show interface &ltinterface> command.
If you are running more than one OSPF process, make sure you have at least one interface that meets this criteria for each OSPF process.
