2950/2970: SNMP OID for number of connected interfaces

Hello,

I have a lot of 2950 and 2970 switches to manage and unfortunately, for several reasons, i can use SNMP only (read: can't use CiscoWorks managemant software)

As we have many users that are in dynamic VLANs, i was asked to give the number of connected interfaces, on a periodic basis on each switch and globally

Could you tell me what MIB is the most relevant, and ideally the OIDs for such a request (if it exists of course)

Thanks,

Philippe

Take a look at ifOperStatus (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8)

Thanks,

With this OID and some scripting, i'll think i'll be able to get the job done.

Thanks much,

Phil

I wouldn't mind having a copy of that work if you don't mind.
