I was into a telnet session with a 2950 when suddently the switch closed session and since then I am not able to connect to it by the ethernet. The switch is working ok and the devices connected to it are interchanging information, but I have the problem of not being able to connect by http, telnet or even ping.
It is not possible to reboot because the production plant will stop.
What Have I to do?
Thank you.

Hi
Can you plugin to the console port of the switch which will be there on the backside of the switch ?
its the alternate way to login to ur equipments when something goes wrong with the normal telnet (IP) connectivity.
Just get onto the console where you can issue all the commands which are valid in telnet prompt and check out for what had exactly gone wrong.
Also issue show log and find out whether you got any error logs.
check out whether your management vlan is up and running or not ?

Hi Josepss,
There was a bug which this product was hitting where it looses the ip management.
There should not be any config problem because it is working fne and suddenly it failed the ip mnagement connectivity and neither ping nor http is working but still its passing the data traffic , so I think its hitting the same bug.
Check this link

Go to bug tool kit and enter this bug id

I hope you are hitting the same bug and to resolve you have t upgrade the IOS.
