I have set up a 6506-E Catalyst to export netflow from a vlan interface. I am confused by the MSFC and PFC designations on these 6500's. I have used netflow with routers before but never a MLS. I am concerned that I am missing some traffic that is being switching in hardware and only getting routed traffic. Where can I find information that explains how to get both? Another related question, is there a way to export netflow from a trunk port? Or is it is strictly layer 3 interfaces? I have been plugging away at this for a week or so and am still pretty confused.
