ACS Implementation

I am planning to implement ACS on a network, I have been told that ACS can run as a redundant system with a Master and Slave ACS server.

I am trying to get a better understanding on how this works and how the ACS will be configured to achieve this.

I have not been able to find any useful info on CCO about this. can anyone point me in the right direction

They are not master and slave per se, but one can set up two ACS servers with the database replicated between them. your network devices can then be set up to look to the primary ACS server first and then to the secondary server if the primary is unreachable.
