adding cisco ASA/fwsm to ciscoworks

Can gurus here help with procedure on how to add ASA firewall/fwsm to ciscoworks, if this is possible.

Links pointing to same would also be helpful.

Thanks!

Re: adding cisco ASA/fwsm to ciscoworks

ASAs and firewalls are added like any other device. They must have SNMP configured, and they must allow the CiscoWorks server to poll them. Then, go to Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Management, and click the Add button. Fill in the device display name and IP address and/or hostname. Click Next, and fill in the telnet/SSH username and password. Click next, and fill in the SNMP read-only community string. Then click Finish.

Note that even with the latest update of CiscoWorks LMS (Version 3.2 with all package updates) your functionality is limited in some ways for these types of devices. Neither is supported by CiscoView and the ASA is not supported in the Campus Manager component.

Reference http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/device_support/table/lms32sdt.html for details.
