admin password change in LMS2.5.1

How does one change the password of the default 'admin' user in LMS2.5.1. on Windows platform. Problem is that the Server department built the box and installed Ciscoworks and now they have full admin access over our network equipment via Ciscoworks > admin user

Below link shows password reset to default, but without the admin user displayed in

Common Services>Security>Local user Setup, I have no other way of changing it and prefer not to reset to default password.

Can one edit the cwpass and remove the admin user all together?

The admin user cannot be removed. This user is required by CiscoWorks. If you cannot currently login as admin, you will need to reset the password to the default in the cwpass file. Then, you will be able to login as admin, and use the "Modify My Profile" button to change admin's password to a better, known value.
