Alert flood when starting LMS

As per the title, when restarting LMS there is a flood of high severity alerts. Most of them are from Reachability/Unresponsive events with attribute of IPStatus TIMEDOUT. I'm guessing this is not normal startup behviour?

Running LMS3.0-DecUpdate on Win2k3

As an aside, is there a way to clear multiple Alerts instead of having a clickfest to clear them all?

Re: Alert flood when starting LMS

What kind of interfaces are these IP addresses bound to? The behavior may be normal if the addresses are, in fact, unreachable. The good news is, you can unmanage those addresses to prevent this problem. The interface for that can be found under DFM > Device Management > Device Details. Once you launch the Detailed Device View, you will also see a link for bulk unmanage instructions if you need to unmanage a large number of addresses/interfaces.

The ability to clear multiple alerts in one shot is coming in LMS 3.2 due out next summer.
