We have installed Ciscoworks LMS 3.0 and updated it with the Dec 2007 update but we have encountered a problem particularly on Alerts and Activities under DFM, no logs were seen even though there were errors seen on the logs of the actual switch. We even disabled some uplink ports but still no logs were seen on Alerts and Activities. Email notification is also not working. Our LMS version here is 3.0.1, DFM version is 3.0.3. The models of the switches are: WS-C4503, WS-C2960-24PC-L, and WS-C3560G-48PS-S. From the document we have read, DFM 3.0.3 supports all the devices we have here.
Is this a bug on Ciscoworks LMS 3.0 or just on DFM 3.0.3? Need your help on this. Thanks in advance.
What state are your devices in within DFM? There is a bug in DFM 3.0.3 where devices slip into a Questioned state. When this happens, no more events are processed. The bug is fixed in DFM 3.0.4 which is available under Common Services > Software Center > Software Update. I encourage all customers to upgrade.
