Hi Julio,

It is possible to run a script when an alert

comes to DFM, or when DFM generates an event.

What you need to do is to set up and run Notification Adapters. The Script Adapter

(Notifier) allows you to automatically take an action when a notification is

received. Upon receiving a notification, the Script Notifier invokes a custom

script supplied by you that performs user-defined actions. For example, you can

create a Script Notifier to send a page, using a paging service. Another Script

Notifier might invoke an audible alarm when mission critical notifications are

received.

There is file-notify options as well, where you can configure an output file where

the notifications are written.

"\CSCOpx\objects\smarts\conf\notifier\file-notify.conf"

Also please take a look at the other conf files, maybe it can be useful for you

(like script or trap notify)

At link below you can find configuration guide to help you how to setup it in the

correct way :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_network_connectivity_monitor/1.0/user/guide/notification_adapt_startstop.html

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_network_connectivity_monitor/1.0/user/guide/notification_adapt_script.html

Please note that in the links when they mention "BASEDIR/smarts/conf/notifier directory", by default, that is:

/opt/CSCOpx/objects/smarts/conf/notifier
