Autoinstall on ASR101

I am trying to verify the autoinstall on Cisco ASR1001. I see that the autoinstall kicks in on the Serial interface. But I do not see an IP address being assigned to the Serial interface during autoinstall.

         --- System Configuration Dialog ---

Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes/no]: n

Would you like to terminate autoinstall? [yes]: n

Please Wait. Autoinstall being attempted over Serial0/1/0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
%Encapsulation SMDS is not supported on this interface!

Then after this, the router just boots up with no config. S0/1/0 is connected to another serial interface with an ip address and HDLC encap;

Staging_Router#sh run int s0/2/0
Building configuration...

Current configuration : 118 bytes
interface Serial0/2/0
ip address
ip helper-address
clock rate 4000000

Is there some confiugration I am missing?
