Backup and Restore CiscoWorks

Dear All,

I am using Ciscoworks Common Service version 2.2. for Solaris.

What is the step to backup and restore all the configuration? Is there any impact during the backup?

Thanks.

C.K.

Re: Backup and Restore CiscoWorks

Server Config -> Administration -> Database Management -> Backup Data Now

There is no impact during the backup

To restore:

/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop

/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/restorebackup.pl -d

/etc/init.d/dmgtd start

I would like to backup the config to tape first and restore it to a new server. Under my backup directory, which file or directory need to copy to tape.

Thanks.

You would need the whole folder.
