We are using cisco 1811 connect to ADSL2+ service in Australia. ADSL2 speed should be up to 24Mb download. When I check the monitor of interface, the usage are steadily at 100%. But check the actually download usage from the isp, the download is fairly low. When I show int dialer0, the output of 5 mins average is 599000bit/sec.
Also in traffic monitor session, more than 50% input packets is DNS.
So what makes the bandwidth usage so high? Can DNS chew up all the bandwidth?Is there a way I can check?
