Campus Manager 4.0.7 : User tracking doesn't report 802.1q user device

Hi,

I have a question regarding what ?User tracking? of Campus Manager 4.0.7 can report.

Here?s the problem :

7206 router----Cat. 3750 switch----802.1Q trunk---IP phone (Nortel)---User PC

You can see there?s a ?802.1Q? trunk between the Catalyst 3750 switch and the IP phone. In this scenario, ?User Tracking? reports nothing on the MAC address of the phone or the user PC even if the MAC address and IP address of theses two components are part of the ARP table of the switch and router.

Then question is : Does ?User tracking? supports an access port on a switch that?s configured as a 802.1Q ?trunk? to the user devices ?

No, not currently. The next major release of Campus Manager will support discovering users connected via trunk ports.
