Anyone know if there's a hotfix for this bug?
-------------------
Campus Manager 5.0 in LMS 3.0 cannot access devices via SSH/Telnet
Symptom:
Go to Topology Services in Campus Manager 5.0 and then right click on a device to try to SSH or Telnet into a device, nothing will work.
Even using the correct JPI 1.5.0_11 to configure java run time parameters correctly in:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Java -> Java Applet Runtime Settings -> View -> double click on Java Runtime Settings to enter something like:
-DCMSSH=C:\PROGRA~1\SSHCOM~1\SSHSEC~1\ssh2.exe
SSH is still not going to work. This is due to the fact that Campus 5.x in LMS 3.0 uses JNLP now, so the JRE applet parameters config settings no longer apply.

This bug is fixed in LMS 3.0.1. Just download the LMS 3.0 December 2007 updates, and you'll have it.

Humm... I'm running 3.0.1 but still see the behavior. Wonder if it's more an issue with the user not having a proper telnet application registered.

For telnet, yes, you must have a telnet:// helper registered with your browser. For SSH, you need to create a campusmgr.properties in your home directory on your client. This file should have a property, CMSSH which points to your desired SSH client. For example:
CMSSH=C:\\Progra~1\\SSHCOM~1\\SSHSEC~1\\ssh2.exe
