Changing Link ports to Access ports in LMS 4.1

One of techs accidentally connected two access ports from different switches together.  Since then, LMS is alerting them as being Link ports down.  I tried to default the config and set them to access ports without any success.  Any idea what I should do in LMS to recognize them as access ports?  Thank you.

Rediscovering the device is sufficient.
