Changing URL in Notification Emails

Dear friends

i am using LMS 2.6 and want to ask that the notification emails generated through various applications like RME, DMF etc have links like the one below;

Description : System config polling job

Details : https://cyberlms:443/rme/DcmaJobDetails.do?jobid=1009.34

My question is what would i need to do to change this domain 'cyberlms' to fully qualified domain 'cyberlms.mycompany.com'. ??

Is it the hsotname of Server machine its picking in URL?? or there is some setting in LMS to change??

please help

Re: Changing URL in Notification Emails

I was having this same problem, so I updated the PX_FQDN to be the FQDN and the email links were correct. However, when the system rebooted (for a backup), the PX_FQDN variable in md.properties file was changed back to just the server name. Is there another location that needs to be updated?

Re: Changing URL in Notification Emails

Your PX_FQDN value is not a true FQDN. This should be changed in this file, and in the Registry (search for PX_FQDN). This variable should point to the server's fully-qualified hostname. After making these changes, restart CiscoWorks Daemon Manager.

Re: Changing URL in Notification Emails

Where would you change it on Solaris 9 in addition to the md.properties file?

Re: Changing URL in Notification Emails

I tried it but failed... I started getting Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

i had to revert back the settings.... just a question that

my server name is = cyberlms

my fqdn is = lms.mycompany.net

do they have to be same??

what could be the reason??

Re: Changing URL in Notification Emails

Your FQDN must be cyberlms.mycompany.net. The FQDN is the short hostname plus the domain name. This must be resolvable in DNS.
