Cisco 7604 rebooting

Hi guys,

We have a cisco 7604 running ios 12.2(18)IXB1. The router has rebooted and "show version" shows "System returned to ROM by s/w reset (SP by power-on)".

Does anyone know what this mean?

You need to recover the from rommon. In rommon mode, please capture the following;

rommon>set

rommon>dir bootflash:

rommon>dir disk0:

or

rommon>dir disk1:

Please go to this link below in recovering the Sup720 in rommon mode. The IOS might be

corrupted that is why you keep on going to the rommon mode.

I have the same issue--same boot information, but neither sups failed to rommon. Both are up in duplex mode....
