Hello,
We had a power supply failure and the switch is now powered through a RPS.
Anyhow, we are monitoring the switch with a Nagios plugin (check_snmp_env) which uses SNMP to check the status of the power supplies.
The plugin says, everything is alright. A manual snmp check says the same (power supply status 1; ok). Ios itself shows "Bad" but where does it get this info? From SNMP? Is this a bug in SNMP/ios? I find it very strange that there is no measure which shows a power supply failure.

You are seeing CSCsk08029. But, you could also be affected by CSCsq77660. The fix for both is to move to 12.2(46)SE or higher.
