Cisco Network Assistant

Does anyone know if there are plans to include TFTP back into CNA v.3.0(1)? It was in the older versions and now you need to telnet to each switch inorder to save the configuration.

Re: Cisco Network Assistant

Backup of the configuration is still available through TFTP. It is automatically integrated into CNA 3.0, you can access it via the "Archive Configuration" menu in CNA.

thanks,

Re: Cisco Network Assistant

Jennifer,

Thanks but the functionality I was referring to was that in the past you could specify the address of a TFTP server so that the data could be archived centrally and not on an individual PC. What I'm looking for is the equivalent to the command:

copy flash:config.text tftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx//configuration-filename

Thanks,

Re: Cisco Network Assistant

Geb,

The PC itself now acts as a tftp server (easier for end-users who do not have a tftp server installed in their network). If you would like to copy over the files saved from the PC to a central location, you can access them via a hidden directory in your user directory. For example:

C:\Documents and Settings\jelowry\.networkassistant\backups
