Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0: Feature Design Templates that attempt to configure event manager always fail: XDE procedure/java error

Here's a little event manager applet that works when entered manually. It has no interactive components.

event manager environment cell_int 0/0/0
event manager applet check_cellular_down_on_restart
event syslog pattern "SYS-5-RESTART" maxrun 90
action 1.0 wait 75
action 2.0 cli command "enable"
action 3.0 cli command "show cellular $cell_int profile 1 | include Profile 1"
action 4.0 string match "*INACTIVE*" "$_cli_result"
action 5.0 if $_string_result eq 1
action 6.0 syslog priority warnings msg "The cellular interface is down after the router reload"
action 7.0 end

It sends an snmp trap after a reboot based on the status of the cellular0/0/0 interface.

The problem is this: Prime won't execute these commands. This is the error I get:

Error in running XDE Procedure, Error Message::Failed to invoke java string class method :null

This happens while it tries the first line of the template.

Does anyone know why this is? Is it possible to configure event manager applets from Prime?
