Hi,
Does anybody have an idea of how much is the log size in Cisco works (the file which stores the syslog messages recieved from the other devices)?
Is there a way to increase its size?
Thanks,
Haitham

There is no limit (except for disk space). We do offer a tool, logrot.pl, that can be used to keep log file sizes under control, but that is not configured by default. Some log files are controlled by the log4j system which has built-in rotation capabilities, but the syslog log file is not one of those files.

There is no good way of doing this currently. This is why logrot.pl is an important management tool for log files. It can globally rotate and archive all log files.
