n what screen in cisco works, can I set how often it archives my configs, and for how long I want to keep them. Right now it just seems to archive when there is a change made to the config. Thanks.

RME 3.5 is what I'm running

That depends on the version you use.

In the latest under RME -> Administration -> Configuration Management, you will find it all.

Archive Settings

Collection Settings

Purge Settings

But the only good reason to archive is, because there was a change.

The default settings are quite alright
