Ciscoview Device Update for 3750 V2

Hi,

I've recently installed two 3750V2 stacks int o our network.

I tried to see them via ciscoview, but it show me an empty chassis shape with "Unkown Device" written inside.

I updated every ciscoview package into CS >Software Center > Device Updates.

But it still now working.

I'm using  LMS 3.0

               CS 3.1.0

               Ciscoview 6.1.6

I've updated package Cat3750 from 8.0 to 10.0.

The sysObjectID(2).0 for the stack is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.516.

But unluckily I cannot still view the V2 stacks.

Any suggestion about?

Thanks in advance.

Massimiliano.

I checked the code, and there does not appear to be support for the 3750V2-48TS in a stacked configuration (only in standalone mode).  I recommend you open a TAC service request to find out when support is planned (my guess is that it should be there, but was omitted due to a bug).

I have the same problem with a stacked WS-C3750V2-48TS-S - CiscoView reports Unknown device. Is there already a solution for this issue?

Regards.

The 3750V2 switches should be supported in all recent versions of CiscoView with the latest device packages.  Go to Software Center within LMS and download and install all available device packages for CiscoView.

Hi, Joseph!

Thank you for your prompt response.

In my post, I forgot to mention the software versions we have installed, which I send you now, so you can help me better.

Best regards.

My answer has not changed.  You need to apply the latest LMS packages and updates.  That is, download and install the LMS 3.2.1 update then all of the latest CiscoView packages on top of that.

Ok. But, as you can see, we have LMS 3.1. Do we have to upgrade to LMS 3.2? If so, does it have any costs associated? One of the terms of this switches' aquisition was that it should be supported by the CiscoWorks we have (LMS 3.1). I tried to download LMS 3.2, but I'm not entitled to do so, what makes me conclude that we have actually to buy LMS 3.2. Am I correct or does Cisco have an alternate solution?

TIA

There is no cost to move from LMS 3.1 to 3.2.1.  The LMS 3.x license is the same throughout.  The LMS 3.2 eval can be downloaded from http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282635181&catid=268439477&softwareid=280775102&os=Windows&release=3.2.0&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest .  If you install this eval over a licensed copy of 3.1, you will end up with a licensed copy of 3.2.

Hi, Joseph.

I'll upgrade our LMS 3.1 to 3.2 accordingly and let you know about the results.

Once again, thank you.

Hi there,

i've the same problem withe the same devices,

i've LMS 3.2.1 and my device is a stack of two WS-C3750V2-24PS,

did you upgrade the LMS?

Hi!

Yes, I did the upgrade to LMS 3.2.1 and updated the devices (the latter I do in a regular basis). Since then, I've never had problems with that kind of equipment, although in my case the equipment is a stacked WS-C3750V2-48TS-S Switch, not the one your having problems on.

Regards.
