CiscoView feature request

Hi All!

We have 3 kind of devices c6509, c3560, c3750. There is no consistency in CiscoView features for the products.

e.g.:

-i can not get port-security info from 3560

-can not configure port settings (speed, duplex) of neither 3560 nor 3750 switches.

Why are CV feature so diffrerent for devices...? How can i post a feature request for these functions, or it is impossible to get the functions into CV?

Kind Regards

Boldizsar

Each CiscoView package is developed by the same business unit that is responsible for developing the devices themselves. Additionally, when it comes to the switches, they have varying degrees of built-in management. For the 3560, for example, you have built-in web-based tools to do more advanced port configuration.

Most likely, when asking for this kind of functionality in CiscoView, you will be told to use the built-in web-based management GUI to do your port security and duplex configuration. To access this from CiscoView, right-click on the chassis, and select "Device Manager".

In general, however, feature requests are best directed through your sales or account teams. They can file a Product Enhancement Request or PERS which contains a business case for the requested feature. This carries th most weight with the business units.
